Nursery School Handbook
We are delighted to welcome you and your child to our school community. We believe that every child is unique, capable and full of potential, and we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. This handbook contains lots of useful information regarding our procedures. Please do make time to read this.
Getting Ready for Nursery
We have some suggested activities for you to do with your child in preparation for starting Nursery School. If you think your child would benefit from a comforter, some special toys and family photos being at school, then please make an attachment box with your child. There is a link to a video on this handout which will give you some ideas.

This handout provides you with some of our top tips for managing children’s behaviour and how adults can help them manage their emotions.
Being a Play Partner
Playing with your child really supports their learning and development. We have provided you with a simple guide on how to play with your child.
Potty Training Leaflet
Children develop at different times and at different paces. If your child is ready then the summer holiday can be a good time to toilet train your child. Toilet training your child over the summer also means staff are able to spend time supporting this process once your child starts Nursery.
