A huge thank you to all our families who came in to read with their child on World Book Day! A great chance for us all to celebrate our favourite stories and characters by dressing up, making props and doing role-play. Children often use their imagination to make up their own stories which can also be acted out.
“Well, it starts with a giant. Then the giant stomped.”
“Castle. I’m in the castle. A monster comes then he’s dancing.”
“A big monster went to the hall and then he raa!”
“I go to all my friends to the party.”
“A rolling ball and then there’s a big ball. Then there’s no more. Another one disappeared.”
“Flying, flying. I am a superhero!”
“Anna got trapped in a castle. A witch eat her. The witch fell.”
“There was a dinosaur. It bit me and the bunny came to help me.”
“This is the story of my snail. The snail will grow up. It’s Jack and the beanstalk. A unicorn snail. He’s turning into a cocoon.”
“I was Elsa, to the party! I made a wand and a disco ball.”
“I see Elsa, she’s holding me hand.”
“My robot is the best.”
“Pirate! Pirate! Get on the ship. The treasure!”
“The police helicopter saves all the cars. The helicopter spins.”
