Thank you to families who came to our community evening where we celebrated Black History Month.
Many families cooked delicious rice-based dishes based on the wonderful book ‘My Rice is Best’. Families have also been coming in during the month to read stories such as ‘So Much’ to the children. Children have loved doing role-play with dolls, cooking and doing each other’s hair. They have been drawing, painting and making portraits of themselves and their families using charcoals, water colours and even playdough. They made colourful paintings inspired by distinguished artist Frank Bowling.
