This offer of additional funded hours will only be available to families who meet certain criteria which includes all parents living in the household working and earning on average a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at National Living Wage, or if under 25 years of age, the equivalent of 16 hours at National Minimum Wage. Read more on the National Minimum Wage here: www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates

For one parent families, the parent must be working. In two-parent families, both parents must be working.
Read more about 30 hours free childcare and details on how to apply here: www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
You can also call the Childcare Choices Helpline for assistance – 0300 123 4097.

If you are offered a place at Kintore Way Nursery, you will need to provide you 11 digit eligibility code to the office. Fees

All 3 – 5 year old children are entitled to 15 hours free nursery education. Only 2 year old children who meet the criteria set out by the government are eligible for 15 hours free nursery education.

If parents/carers require additional hours outside of the free 15 hours entitlement these can be provided at an additional cost. This is sometimes referred to as ‘top up’. The aim of providing this service is to support working or studying families. Please see ‘Admissions Criteria for Additional Nursery Hours Outside of the 15 Hours Free Entitlement’ document which is part of our admission and attendance policy, which is available from the school office and can be downloaded from our website.

Children who are staying for a full day are provided with a cooked meal. The cost of a school dinner is £1.80 and parents/carers are asked to pay in advance by cash or cheque daily, weekly or termly. Parents/carers who think they might be entitled to free school meals can complete a free school meals application form at the school office or it can be downloaded from our website ‘Early Years Pupil Premium’ section. The form will be sent to the pupil benefits team at Southwark Children’s Services to see if parents/carers are eligible.

These fees are correct as at September 2017 and are subject to change.

Please note that nursery school ‘top up’ fees will become chargeable from the date of settling your child.
If you have Breakfast Club and/or After School Club, your child will not attend these services until they have settled. Payment for these clubs will be payable from the first day of attending the club.

Fees need to be paid in advance on a regular date each week/month – ideally the first day of the month, the last day of the month or every Monday.

Fees should be paid by standing order and the child’s name should be used as the reference.

Please note that fees are payable if your child is off sick or absent. Fees are also payable for bank holidays, staff training days and open days (parent/carer meetings/exhibition of work).

It is not acceptable to have any fees or dinner money arrears. If debts are incurred then the school budget has to pay for them or services have to close. This means that money which should be spent on the children’s education is used to pay for debts incurred by parents/carers. Every parent/carer will agree that this is unacceptable and we request that all parents/carers give us their full support. If parents/carers have any concerns with paying their fees or dinner money, they should speak with the headteacher as soon as possible.

Please see our charging and payment of fees policy, which is available from the school office and can be downloaded from our website, or ask at the school office for more information on:

- nursery ‘top-up’ fees – how and when to make payment,
- dinner money,
- Breakfast Club fees and After School Club fees,
- charges for absence and lateness,
- notice periods if a child leaves,
- the School Fund
- additional circumstances (e.g. closure due to severe weather).

Parents/carers paying ‘top up’, Breakfast Club fees or After School Club fees will be required to sign a contract.
